Welcome To "Thoughts of Peace" Blogspot!

Hello! I'm really excited about starting this blog. I'm looking forward to sharing recipes, cleaning secrets and all sorts of fun and helpful stuff with you! I think the giveaways that some people have on their blogs are a great idea. Once I get settled in here I'll have some from time to time! In my next post I'll share a recipe I found awhile ago that is the best Peach Cobbler I've ever had and it takes less than 10 minutes to make! Probably closer to 5 depending on how long it takes to melt the butter!

A little bit about me: I'm 32 (for a few more days!), I'm a sahm, I have been for nearly 12 years! (Wow! That makes me feel old!) We are a blended family, we have 5 kids total, 3 his and 2 ours. We have a little chihuahua/terrier mix, a kitten (whose into everything!), and about 4 fish! I'm a Christian and I keep the Sabbath, but I'm not Seventh Day Adventist (most people ask me that. =) ). Also I keep the Biblical Holy Days and not most traditional Holidays. I live in Southern Oregon. I've lived here for almost 2 years now and I'm beginning to realize that I'd better become an Oregon Ducks fan, or move! I guess, the Ducks it is, because we love it here! Go Ducks!!!

I bought a new camera recently and I LOVE taking pictures with it! This evening I took some pictures of the sunset from my yard. I thought this one turned out pretty cool, let me know what you think! I also like doing crafts and decorating. I can't say I really have a knack for it, I'm definitely still learning. I learn a lot from other blogs. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be good! ;-) Just before Thanksgiving I got some crafty stuff from the Dollar Tree and made a few things. They actually turned out pretty good, I thought ! I'll take pictures and post them.

Thanks for reading! Come back soon! And remember, awesome cobbler recipe with my next post!!!

I am glad to know that there are seventh-day Sabbath keepers who are not Seventh-Day Adventists. I also am a Sabbath keeping Christian, though I have never been a Seventh-Day Adventist.

The Seventh-Day Adventists are probably the largest and best known of Sabbath keeping Christians churches, but there are others that most people do not know about. Some smaller Christian groups even keep the annual Sabbath days as well as the weekly Sabbath.

Welcome to the world of blogging.
